Stationed in the DFW area, Izzy Vivas is a young, aspiring artist who explores social commentary, activism and the connection encompassed in art to inspire change. Being a high school student, Vivas drives to expand her techniques as she partakes in multiple nationally recognized Studio Art courses. Along with being well involved within school art programs, Vivas remains well connected with local museums and galleries such as the Nasher Sculpture Center, Crow Collection of Asian Art, and the Rachofsky Warehouse.

Rachofsky Warehouse Summer Program

Participated in a week long program where we discussed new ways of evaluating artwork. Had guest artists come in to talk about their creative processes followed by a collaborative art project.

Volunteered to help as a photographer for the photo booth, taking pictures of families, children, employees, etc with polaroid cameras, helped with the setup and cleanup of different stations

12 Students and I worked to create Neon Sculptures in collaboration with Artist Jay Shinn. Throughout the week we discussed art from the Crow Collection, visited Neon of Dallas, and worked with Jay Shinn in designing the sculptures. The sculptures were then fabricated and exhibited at the Crow
Nasher Summer Teen Program
